CONSTRUCTION OF THE AQUATICS CENTER GOING WELL
DELHI, INDIA--Construction of the aquatics center for the 2010
Commonwealth Games is going well, according to reports issued following
a tour last week of 17 managers of Australian teams to those Games.

UGANDA COMMONWEALTH GAMES SWIM TEAM
UGANDA--The Uganda Swimming Federation has announced a 4-swimmer team for this year's Commonwealth Games in October in India.
Team members
are: Sharif Kakooza, Jamila Lunkuse, Ganzi Mugula and Olivia Infield Nakiyingi. The team announcement follows a time trial this past weekend in Lubowa.

Following last week's New Zealand Championships, Swimming New Zealand (SZN) has announced a 12-swimmer team for October's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India.
Team members are:
Males (4): Daniel Bell, Moss Burmester, Gareth Kean and Glenn Snyders
Females (8): Lauren Boyle, Amaka Gessler, Tash Hind, Melissa Ingram, Penelope Marshall, Hayley Palmer, Emily Thomas and Natalie Wiegersma.

2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES
LONDON, UK--Two cities have submitted formal nominations to bid for the
2018 Commonwealth Games: Gold Coast, Australia and Hambantota, Sri Lanka. The 2018 host will be selected at the October 2011 General Assembly of the Commonwealth Games Federation. The Commonwealth Games are held every 4 years, in the even year between Summer Olympics.
Upcoming hosts are: Delhi, India (October 2010) and Glasgow, Scotland, UK (2014).
